Easy Food Swaps

I am always blathering on about tweaking your diet to making it healthier and help you feel like yourself again. But what does that actually look like? I thought I would break down a few easy swaps for you that you can start implementing today! Ok, it doesn't have to be today, but little by little until you suddenly realize how energized you feel, how your jeans fit better, how your libido shot up! Let's go people!!

Easy Swaps

  • Lettuce wrap those fajitas or burgers (or they sell jicama wraps at Trader Joe's)
  • Use Zucchini noodles (they are already prepared for you in the store!) instead of pasta
  • Speaking of pasta...try hearts of palm pasta!
  • Put your Chipolte on a bed of lettuce instead of rice
  • Cauliflower rice stir fry instead of white rice (the kids won't notice)
  • Water with lemon instead of sugary drinks (add mint & cucumber and pretend you are at a spa!)
  • Apple sauce when baking - it makes your baked goods stay moist
  • Honey instead of sugar or artificial sweeteners when sweetening anything
  • Sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes
  • Banana or apple with nut butter for afternoon snack (instead of processed food)
  • Celery or cucumber spears for a crunchy snack - dip in Greek yogurt for added protein
  • Whole fruit instead of a bottled juice
