Skip Breakfast?

Eliminate breakfast?? Really? We have all heard since childhood that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It's drilled into us from an early age. What if it's not?

So many of us think of breakfast as sugar cereals (I have been known to serve this to my children) or something even heavier like pancakes or French Toast. Starting your day with something sugary or carb heavy is just going to make you crash a couple of hours later.

What do you think about skipping it altogether? If you aren't actually hungry but perhaps eating because you think you should then stop. I work with clients on getting in touch with their hunger cues. The last thing you want to do is eat because the clock is telling you to. Listen to your biological clock instead.

If you decide that breakfast is your thing then focus on fresh fruit, oatmeal, whole wheat toast, Greek yogurt. Choose something to satiate not debauch.
